(What you won’t find on social media … even if you are approved as a friend)
- Born: Norristown, Pennsylvania
- Status: Engaged 🥰💍
- Alma Mater: St. Pius X High School
- What’s on TV: Anything true crime!
- A skill I’m weirdly good at: Acquiring a warehouse of useless knowledge — having a photographic memory is a gift, and a curse!
- One word my friends would use to describe me: Determined
- What I drive: A lifted 4Runner with a heavy-duty brush guard — deer won’t stand a chance! No offense — but I can’t be a minivan mom!
- What I am reading: A biography of Kurt Cobain
- Favorite movie: “Stand By Me”
- Something you would never guess about me: I absolutely love anything and everything vintage, including cars and trucks (shout-out to Low Country Car Club, my favorite organization to be a part of!)
- Actress that would play me in a movie: My friends say Julia Roberts, Anna Kendrick or Sandra Bullock. My fiancé says Betty White 😂. Fun fact, I was named after Grace Kelly (absolute icon!)
- Favorite thing in my closet: Ariat ankle boots — cow print in cream color with gold flecks
- App I can’t live without (no judgment): My camera roll — photos of my kids & memories we make are my most prized possession.
- Worst habit: Overthinking (current mood for this assignment!)
- My most-used phrase: “I’m fine, it’s fine, everything’s fine!” or “CTRL + ALT + DEL”
- Weirdest thing in my fridge: Nail polish — it makes it last longer!
- On my office walls: Boat paintings from a local Savannah artist & paintings my daughter has made, pictures of my family, my oath of office, calendars, and LOTS of Post-it notes
- If I wasn't doing this, I’d be: Playing with my kids in the snow — still can’t believe it snowed two years in a row! (I’m not a fan of it since I grew up in it, but watching their excitement makes it worth it!) Usually on a Sunday afternoon, we are in the middle of an absolutely hostile game of Monopoly with my family (we take it very seriously — no mercy!) while I catch up on laundry.
- Favorite go-to comfort food: Anything Polish, especially pierogies — or mac ’n’ cheese
- First thing I do in the morning: Make sure everyone else in the house is up and moving for school
- Pet I’d have if anything was possible: A possum, raccoon or a Highland cattle calf!
- Most used emoji: 🫠 or 😫
- First job: My dad started his own graphic design business when I was a kid, and I learned so much from him! I definitely got my drive and passion for detail from him.
- What I like about Effingham County: Even though the county has gotten so much larger in the last 15 years, this is still a community who watches out for each other, especially in times of need. From individuals to local business owners, everyone is still willing to lend a hand or a service to assist those who need it. There is amazing support for our local families, charities, and children in need. We are proud to be members of the Low Country Car Club, who contribute so much — in fact, we have a new project in the works that is pretty special! It’s a surprise, but it is serving a need that I don’t think has been done before, and that’s what it’s all about! We are hoping this will be the “first” of many. Come to Our Place in Rincon on 02/28 to be a part of giving an amazing gift to a well-deserving young man — stay tuned, and feel free to reach out to me or any of the other members for details on how you can contribute, too!
- Snack I can never say no to: Anything involving melted cheese — or anything from The Corndog Co. food truck!
- A lesson life keeps teaching me: Good people are still out there — always choose kindness first, and the rest will work itself out. But also — it’s OK to make your peace a priority, too!
- What song always gets me dancing: Honestly, my middle & high school playlists still hit every time — anything rap, pop or rock from the late ’90s–early 2000s
- Favorite value in others: Loyalty, authenticity, and accountability
- Advice I’d give my teenage self: Always be brave, and confident in who you are. Never give up, and stay persistent!
- Talent I’d most like to have: Singing! The older I get, the worse I sound
- Dream date: Any day we are out on the boat, going to the islands, and finding shark teeth is the best date ever for me!
- Attribute I like best about myself: Work ethic, reliability, and creativity
- And least …. Not giving myself enough grace, and overstressing
- Most ridiculous thing I believed as a kid: That I would know exactly where I would be in life in 10, 20, 30 years. Life has lots of surprises along the way, and you will always land where you are meant to be.
- My hero: I don’t necessarily have a “hero” — but I try to emulate those who radiate positivity, have genuine intentions, and an overall love for others. I am lucky to be surrounded by some true “heroes” in my real daily life!
- My bucket list: To travel & experience other countries — I love historical places, and trying new food.
- My motto: “Sometimes good things fall apart, so better things could fall together.” — Marilyn Monroe
