(What you won’t find on social media … even if you are approved as a friend)

  • Born: Selma, Alabama
  • Status: Happily single
  • Alma mater: Dallas County High School
  • What’s on TV: TV is more like background noise in my house. Right now it’s "Gone" with Amanda Seyfried or any of the other thriller programs I’ve seen a million times.
  • Most spontaneous thing I have ever done: I’ve always been a spontaneous person, so it’s hard to narrow it down. I used to make a habit of waking up at 3 a.m., getting my daughter out of bed, hitching us up to the camper, and heading off to Gulf Shores, Alabama, whenever I felt like it.
  • What I drive: A red Hyundai
  • Favorite movie: I have several, but "Jaws" takes the cake every time.
  • Something you would never guess about me: That I’m shy! I’m always fine on the outside, but most of the time I’d rather keep to myself.
  • Actress that would play me in a movie: Helen Mirren
  • Favorite thing in my closet: My accessories. I love dressing up in a good outfit with some jewelry or a nice hat. You wouldn’t believe how many hat boxes I have.
  • Favorite movie snack: An orange — I eat them all the time. Or maybe a watermelon!
  • App I can’t live without (no judgment): Google. I hate not knowing things. If it crosses my mind, I’m going to look it up.
  • Worst habit: My friends and family say I’m definitely a workaholic.
  • Weirdest thing in my fridge: Does a fresh-cut watermelon count?
  • On my office walls: I’m not one to have a whole lot of decorations, but I really love my painting of the “Painted Ladies” houses in Seaside, Florida, that hangs on my wall.
  • One person you’d love to cook for: Everybody! I just love to cook for people in general.
  • Favorite go-to comfort food: Saltine crackers have never let me down.
  • First thing I do in the morning: Brush my teeth and then go feed the cats.
  • Pet I’d have if anything was possible: A lion, because they’re just a big ol’ cat.
  • First job: A paint and wallpaper store in Selma.
  • What I like about Effingham County: The people, of course. I moved here in 2013, and I feel like the people of Springfield and beyond just accepted me into their lives with such open arms.
  • Snack I can never say no to: Fruit
  • Favorite sports team: 49ers, or whatever my family is watching
  • What song always gets me dancing: "Tennessee Whiskey" — can’t help but sway along.
  • Favorite value in others: Morals and manners. It’s priceless to have nowadays.
  • Advice I’d give my teenage self: Keep your head up. There’s so much more to life than this.
  • Talent I’d most like to have: Playing the piano
  • Dream date: Whisk me away on a plane to Paris, take me to breakfast, and have me back home all within the day.
  • Attribute I like best about myself: It makes me happy to care for others.
  • My hero: My Booboo, my aunt who helped raise me. She was a unique Christian woman, and I learned a lot from her.
  • My bucket list: I’ve always wanted to go to San Francisco and see the Golden Gate Bridge and Napa Valley.
  • My motto: I’m a big fan of the Golden Rule. I treat you how I want to be treated and vice versa.
