Manior, Anderson earn OES district honors

Dexter Jansen Manior and Tyannia Anderson were crowned as Millen District 16 Youth King and Queen on March 27, 2010. The coronation was held at the Masonic Temple in Sylvania.
 
They are both members of the Minnie M. Ponder Youth Chapter 112 OES. Manior serves as guardian and Anderson is the vice-president.
On April 23, Manior and Anderson competed in the state competition Wilma S. Wallace King and Queen Extravaganza, held in Douglas. Manior was crowned king for the Prince Hall Grand Youth Chapter, Jurisdiction of Georgia, and Anderson placed as the state second runner-up.
 
Manior is the son of Greg and Janine Manior. He is a fifth grade honor student at South Effingham Elementary School. He is an all-star athlete in baseball, basketball and football. He is a member of Goodwill Missionary Baptist Church, where he sings in the choir.
 
Anderson is the daughter of Darien and Tonetta Anderson. She is a freshman at SCHS, where she is a varsity cheerleader. She is a member of New Robbins Branch Church, where she sings in the E.M. Scott Choir and the praise and worship team.
