Peanut butter recall issued

Some King Nut and Parnell’s Pride peanut butter has been recalled due to possible Salmonella contamination
Georgia Agriculture Commissioner Tommy Irvin alerts food service customers to the recall of two brands of peanut butter that may be contaminated with Salmonella.

King Nut Companies, Solon, Ohio, was informed that Salmonella was found in an open five-pound tub of King Nut peanut butter.

All King Nut and Parnell’s Pride peanut butter, distributed by King Nut — with the list codes beginning with “8” — are being recalled. The King Nut peanut butter is sold to food service companies but not directly to consumers.  

All customers of the King Nut and Parnell’s Pride peanut butter are asked to take the product out of distribution immediately.
