The Savannah Red Cross is holding the first national CPR/AED awareness week and is training people on CPR and how to use an automated external defibrillator.

“The Red Cross wants the public to know that everyone has the power to save a life. At least one person in every household and on every office floor should be trained and certified in first aid and CPR/AED,” said Dan Kurtz, health and safety director of the Savannah Chapter.

If you would like to get trained call the Savannah Red Cross at (912) 651-5300 or visit the Web site at www.savannahredcross.org for a list of class dates and times.
