Relay for Life pageant to be held Feb. 26 at ECHS

The Miss Relay for Life Pageant will be held Feb. 26 at the Effingham County High School.


Registration for contestants up to 9 years old begins will be from 9-9:45 a.m. and the pageant will begin promptly at 10 a.m. Winners in the up to age 4 category will be crowned before the 5-9 years start.

Registration for ages 10 and up will be held from 2-3 p.m. and the pageant for that age group will start promptly at 3:30 p.m.


Age divisions will be: Baby Miss, 0-23 months; Teeny Miss, 2-3 years; Tiny Miss, 4-6 years; Little Miss, 7-9 years; Junior Miss, 10-12 years; Teen Miss, 13-16 years; and Miss, 17 and over.

All girls must compete in beauty. Contestants may model any T pattern. Girls 0-12 years may wear short or long dresses. Girls 13 and up will wear long dresses. There will be one winner and two runners-up in each division. Beauty winners will receive a crown, sash and a trophy. Runners-up will receive a trophy.

Beauty will be judged on overall appearance, beauty, poise and personality.

There will be one winner per age division for prettiest dress and one winner per age division for most beautiful. Both will be judged during group lineup.

Paperwork and fees are due by Feb. 21. Door entries will be accepted only if the contestant has contacted the director by Feb. 23. Checks will be accepted if received by Feb. 21. Only cash and money orders will be accepted at the door. There will be a $10 late fee for door entries.
