Jim Simmons, vice chairman of the Historic Effingham Society, spoke to Rotarians about the Museum and Living History Site in Springfield. Held annually in April, Olde Effingham Days brings the past to life. The event features a street dance and demonstrations of flint-knapping, basket weaving, broom making, blacksmithing and more.  The former Jail houses historic displays of clothing, Confederate arms, Indian artifacts and war memorabilia, as well as a genealogy library.
