The YMCA of Coastal Georgia will hold its Heart of Savannah 5K on Saturday at Forsyth Park in Savannah.

Registration is $35 for the 5K and one-mile walk and can be done at any YMCA of Coastal Georgia branch, Fleet Sports Savannah or at www.active.com.

The Kiddie Run is free and open to all registered children.

The race will start and finish in the northeast corner of the park on Gaston Street and wind around the park and then down Bull Street through Savannah’s historic squares down to Johnson Square and back up Bull Street to the Park.

After the race, a YMCA-style party will be held with activities like Zumba in the park, health screenings, inflatables for the kids and more.

The quarter-mile Kiddie Run begins at 8 a.m. and the 5K and walk begin at 8:20 a.m. The Kiddie Run is held prior to the 5K and is intended to be a fun, non-competitive event. Each child will receive a winner’s ribbon and a race T-shirt.
