Rincon’s first post office was taken from its longtime home and moved to a new location last Tuesday, going from 6th Street to 17th Street. Former Rincon resident Roberta Dickey gave the building to the city. The small structure originally sat next to her parents’ house on Carolina Avenue and faced the railroad. It was moved to its current location on West 6th Street on property Dickey owns a short time after the second post office was constructed.
