Access to county government buildings restricted
COVID-19

FROM EFFINGHAM COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS:

As Effingham County Officials continue to monitor the evolving situation surrounding the Coronavirus (COVID-19), we believe for the safety and welfare of our employees and the public to implement the following action.

As a precautionary measure to limit the possibility of COVID-19 exposure from person to person contact, Effingham County government will restrict access to public county buildings and facilities.  Effingham County will continue to provide services, and all county employees will be required to report daily as normal.  As this situation continues to develop, if necessary, adjustments may be made.

Residents needing to conduct business with a county department should contact said department by phone or email.  Questions can be directed to the following closed offices as follows:

Board of Commissioners (912) 754-2123

Recreation Department (912) 754-6339

Development Services (912) 754-2128 or 2105

This action will remain in place until further notice.
