RINCON -- Family Promise of Effingham Inc. is set to conduct its 5th Annual Bed Race at 10 a.m. on March 10 at First Baptist Church.

Proceeds ensure needy Effingham County families have a bed to sleep in and warm meals every day.T

The race is a short, competitive and fun-filled contest featuring twin beds repurposed with wheels.

The race is free to attend and watch!

To enter a bed and compete, the cost is $100 per team, per entry. (five individuals per team; four to push and one to drive).

Registration after March 3 will cost $125.

All beds must be registered by 9 a.m, day of event.
