Blandford Elementary School hosted Family Academic Night on Feb. 23, where students and parents were able to enjoy food, door prizes, games, face painting, animals from the Georgia Southern Raptor Center and more.

Parents were urged to “Avenge your way through the superhero maze to learn ways to help your child at home by participating in various Georgia Standards of Excellence games and activities”.

As part of the event, students were encouraged to dress like their favorite superhero.

Different adventures were conducted for each grade level as both students and parents got in on the fun.

The GSU Raptor Center brought some of the birds from their exhibit to the school and taught students more about their habits and ecosystems.
