The body of an adult male discovered in a pond yesterday morning has been identified as James Tebeau who was reported missing last year.

Tebeau’s body was found by a group of hunters yesterday morning in a pond which was located behind his residence on Old Tusculum Road in Springfield. According to family members, Tebeau suffered from dementia.

An autopsy report revealed that Tebeau died of an accidental drowning. There is no indication of foul play.
