Body found in Rincon identified

RINCON -- The body discovered in a wooded area on Lisa Street has been identified.

According to the Rincon Police Department,  Dmytrias Jasmine Smith, 24, of Garnett, S.C., was found behind Ms. Jean's Restaurant at about 3 p.m. Friday. She was not living here and her presence was not hurricane-related.

No details on the manner of her death have been released. The police regard the death as suspicious, however.

An autopsy was performed Monday.

Anyone who has any information about this person is asked to call the Rincon Police Department.
