Sweetwater Grill co-owners Wyatt Aiken and Lori Masters couldn’t have been happier as members of the Effingham Chamber of Commerce gathered Saturday morning for a formal ribbon cutting, to welcome the new restaurant to the county.

Masters, who has been in the restaurant business for about seven years, most recently owned Daiquiri Island, now named the Island Grill, before deciding to open here in Effingham. Chef Jimmie Reed has been the subject of several articles in the region and Aiken and Masters said they were fortunate to have him head their staff.

The restaurant has been opened up a bit and features separate rooms for games and for darts. The restaurant features a full bar and boasts a family-friendly atmosphere.

Sweetwater Grill is located in McCall Plaza at the corner of Highway 21 and McCall Road, in suite D. For more information, call 826-0808.
