The Effingham Chamber of Commerce recently held a ribbon cutting for Burns World Travel, which has moved to a new location.

Burns World Travel is now across Laurel Street from the Springfield branch of the Heritage Bank of the South.

Effingham County commissioners honored local youth athletes Tuesday, recognizing the GRPA state champion softball team and state track meet finalists with a proclamation declaring Aug. 9 as “Effingham Champions Day.”
