Entertainment mogul joins Medient Studios board

Charles Koppelman, chairman and CEO of CAK Entertainment Inc., has joined Medient Studios as vice chairman of the board of directors.


Koppelman is regarded as a leading brand-building figure in the entertainment industry. Koppelman has served as CEO and chairman of Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, chairman and CEO of EMI Records and chairman of Steve Madden. Currently he is a member of the board of directors of Six Flags Entertainment Corp., a director of the Las Vegas Sands Corp., as well as the chairman and CEO of CAK Entertainment Inc., a brand development firm that provides advisory work for artists including Jennifer Lopez, Marc Anthony, Nicki Minaj and Adam Levine.


“Charles is such an important and influential leader in entertainment and finance,” said Medient CEO and chairman Manu Kumaran. “We are honored that he has accepted our invitation to join the board. He brings great vision and experience to the company and will be a turbo booster in our continuing odyssey.”
