GDOL to team up with Military Sealift Command

ATLANTA—The Georgia Department of Labor’s (GDOL) Brunswick Career Center will help Military Sealift Command (MSC) fill a number of job openings for civilian employees to work on civilian-crew ships that transport equipment and supplies to U.S. military forces worldwide. The recruitment will be held Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the career center, located at 2517 Tara Lane.

MSC operates a fleet of about 110 civilian-crew ships. The company is currently hiring for a second officer, refrigeration engineer, first assistant engineer, second assistant engineer, third assistant engineer, second electrician, unlicensed junior engineer, deck engineer machinist, second cook, cook/baker, assistant cook, steward cook, chief cook, chief radio electronic technician and a medical supply officer.
