Stephen Newsome has joined TRI County GMAC Real Estate as a full service realtor serving the West Chatham area.

Newsome has lived in Effingham County for over 35 years and is known as a community leader, caregiver, senior’s activist and businessman.

Newsome attended Effingham County High School and Georgia Southern College.  He is a member of the Meldrim Civic Club where he serves as president and Web master. He is also  a lifetime member of the Historic Effingham Society and owner of K9 Fencing Systems.    

He is the founder of the Meldrim Community Service Program which during 2007 furnished a total of 1,603 hours of free community service to seniors and disabled individuals in the Meldrim area.
