RoadLink IntermodaLogistics of Port Wentworth will host a job fair on Aug. 8 from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Effingham College and Career Academy on Highway 21 South in Rincon.

RoadLink has more than 60 positions available — full- and part-time — for freight handlers at its four distribution centers in the Savannah region.

Job candidates will complete employment applications and be interviewed on the spot at the job fair.

Freight handlers are responsible for the hand loading and unloading of freight for RoadLink’s clients. The job involves extensive walking, bending and lifting, and candidates must be able to lift 20-50 pounds regularly. Previous warehouse experience is a plus.

First- and second-shift positions are available, and overtime and weekend work is required. Candidates must be able to work at least 10-20 hours of overtime per week through the end of the year.

The starting pay rate is $8 per hour and benefits are available after 30 days of employment. Applicants must pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
