SAVANNAH — Savannah Technical College’s Effingham Campus and EFACEC will host “Getting a manufacturing job with EFACEC” on June 24 at 5:30 p.m. at the Effingham Campus.

“This is an amazing opportunity for Effingham County and the surrounding area,” said Laurie Herrington, Effingham Campus director. “Anytime you’re able to add close to 500 new manufacturing jobs it’s a great win, but particularly during this economy, a boost like this is phenomenal. We’re fortunate to get to work so closely with EFACEC to help ensure success for the company and for its potential employees.”

EFACEC officials will discuss the steps to getting started with the company, outline the hiring process and introduce the company and its products to event participants. EFACEC, headquartered in Portugal, specializes in the field of electromechanics and electronics. Job openings with the company will be in the areas of mechanical and electrical engineering, draftsmen, assembly specialists, maintenance and administration.

Those interested in a guaranteed interview with EFACEC can enroll with STC after the presentation for summer quarter courses, beginning July 8.
