SBDC holding business startup workshop

A workshop entitled “Starting a Business” will be held on Aug. 18. It is a three hour class that begins at 6 p.m.

If you are thinking of starting a small business, then taking this workshop is a crucial first step. The workshop will cover the basics of what you need to know and do before starting a business.  The session will also cover the traits of successful entrepreneurs, market research, legal structures for business, estimating start-up costs and cash flow projections, financing alternatives, failure factors, and business planning. Attending this workshop may be one of the most important decisions you make prior to opening your business.

The class is $69 per person, which includes the cost of class materials, and special pricing is available for two or more people attending together.

The class will be held at the Small Business Resource Center, 111 E. Liberty St. in Savannah.

The workshop is co-sponsored by The University of Georgia Small Business Development Center and SCORE, Counselors to America’s Small Business.

A prepaid registration is required no later than the Tuesday preceding the class.
