Stoner named to GACCE board

Director of the Effingham County Chamber of Commerce Ken Stoner has been named to the board of directors of the Georgia Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives.

Stoner’s three-year term on the board, which is the policy body of the GACCE, began July 1.

Joining Stoner as new board members are Yulonda Beauford, president and CEO of the Clayton County Chamber; Hollie Jones, president of the Sylvester-Worth County Chamber; and Bill Rogers Jr., president and CEO of the Swainsboro-Emanuel County Chamber.

GACCE is the professional society of chamber executives and staff. GACCE exists to provide exceptional services to its members in the areas of professional development, information and networking opportunities and to advocate the Chamber’s role in economic and community development.

Chip Cherry, president of the Greater Macon Chamber, is the 2009-10 chairman of the GACCE executive committee and Terri Wommack, president of the Walton County Chamber, is the chairman-elect.
