County now taking online tax payments

Linda McDaniel, tax commissioner of Effingham County, announced that her office has launched an innovative new Web site to help the taxpayers of Effingham County, and those who do business in Effingham County a dynamic way of accessing important tax information online. The property tax information is now available at the following web site address www.effinghamtax.com.

“Our new online tax Web site allows our citizens to search, view and pay their property tax bill from the convenience of their home or office,” McDaniel said. “Citizens can pay online via Pay Pal® using any one of the four major credit cards. In addition, citizens can print a copy of their tax bill, obtain a paid receipt at time of payment, and request an address change using the web site features.”
In addition, the county tax office now offers credit card payments at the counter.

The Tax Commissioner’s office in Effingham County plans to continue to upgrade the technology and services they offer citizens.
