County Administrator David Crawley and his wife, county clerk Patrice Crawley, both submitted their resignations Tuesday night.

The Effingham County Board of Commissioners accepted the Crawleys’ resignations following a 45-minute executive session.

In the past couple weeks, some county commissioners have spoken out about the possible need for changes in county leadership.
