ECSO arrests repeat meth suspects

Effingham County Sheriff’s deputies recovered a meth lab in a vehicle and also arrested a suspect who had been out on bond for several methamphetamine charges.

Deputies conducted an investigative stop Tuesday on a vehicle driven by Marcia Grover, 30, of Brooklet on Highway 21 south. Drug investigators located several items inside the vehicle, including meth and pseudoephedrine.

Grover was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine, unlawful possession of pseudoephedrine, conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine and criminal attempt to manufacture methamphetamine.

Drug investigators arrested Tina Johns, 39, of Brooklet, in Rincon on Sunday. Johns, also a repeat offender, was arrested in the parking lot of CVS.

She has been charged with possession of methamphetamine, unlawful possession of pseudoephedrine and conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine.

Since January, the ECSO Drug Suppression Team has arrested 20 suspects on meth-related charges and recovered eight meth labs.
