Jury selection for an Effingham County man accused in the August 2008 shooting deaths of his father and brother is scheduled to begin Nov. 30.

Ogeechee Judicial Circuit Superior Court Judge Gates Peed issued an order Nov. 4 for a jury selection date in the murder trial of Craig Heidt. The trial, already delayed twice, was scheduled to begin in late September but prosecutors asked for a delay after the death of a witness.

The trial originally was scheduled to take place in May but was postponed as defense attorney Dow Bonds’ mother began chemotherapy treatments and Bonds is her primary caregiver.
