June 12
Incident: Theft by taking
City: Springfield
Complainant said that there have been problems with people stealing radiators and copper. He discovered that four of his cars were missing their radiators. He reported that a female helped remove the car parts for someone else. She admitted that she had helped and that the radiators were taken to a salvage shop for scrap. The damages totaled $3,600.

June 23
Incident: Theft of services
City: Rincon
Two customers, a husband and wife, of Webb Animal Clinic accrued over $1,700 in medical bills on behalf of their dog and tried to visit the dog despite being told that visitation will not be allowed until the bill is paid in full. On the day in question the wife made her way into the kennels and indicated that she was going to take her dog from the premises. The customers said that they had tried to pay in installments and were told by the veterinarian that they could visit the animal. It was finally agreed upon that they would pay in installments and that they could visit the animal. Everyone was informed of warrant procedures and given a case report number card.

June 23
Incident: Armed robbery, simple battery, aggravated assault, financial transaction card theft, possession of a firearm/knife while committing/attempting a crime, theft by taking
City: Springfield
Two men wearing black masks jumped the owner and operator of Tommy’s convenience store as he tried to lock the back door. He was forced to the ground and dropped three bank bags as a result. The men were able to get two of the bags, which contained about $5,000 along with the victim’s wallet, which had around $1,000 and several credit cards in it. The crime scene was turned over to detectives.

Incident: Theft by taking
City: Rincon
Complainant discovered that part of his stamp collection was missing. He believed that the theft took place two years ago when he had a flooring contractor replace the floors in his home. He said that the collection was valued at $20,000. The deputy was informed of the case report number for insurance purposes.
