State troopers from the Rincon post of the Georgia State Patrol investigated 11 traffic crashes during the month of April in Effingham County.

Sgt. 1st Class Riner said the traffic crashes resulted in 16 injuries.

Riner said troopers from Post 42 also issued 184 traffic citations in the county during the month. The total includes five arrests for driving under the influence, 75 citations for speeding, 65 seat belt violations, and three child restraint violations. Troopers also issued 169 warnings.
