State troopers from the Rincon post of the Georgia State Patrol investigated seven traffic crashes during January in Effingham County.
Sgt. 1st Class Riner said the traffic crashes resulted in 10 injuries and one traffic death.
Riner said troopers from Post 42 also issued 287 traffic citations in the county during the month. The total includes three arrests for driving under the influence, 81 citations for speeding, 140 seat belt violations and three child restraint violations. Troopers also issued 263 warnings.
