Two busted at traffic stop for meth

Effingham County Sheriff’s drug investigators and Georgia State Patrol arrested two people Friday who have been charged with manufacturing methamphetamine and possession of methamphetamine.  

Georgia State Patrol troopers were conducting a road safety check on Jabez Jones Road in south Effingham County today when they came across a suspicious vehicle. Effingham County drug investigators were called to the scene where, they located items to manufacture methamphetamine and a quantity of methamphetamine inside a vehicle.

Erica Lynn Wilson, 29, of Guyton, was charged with possession of methamphetamine, manufacturing methamphetamine and traffic charges. Willam Frank Davis, 21, has been charged with possession of methamphetamine and manufacturing methamphetamine.

The vehicle has been seized by the Effingham County Sheriff’s Office. Wilson and Davis remain in the Effingham County Jail.

“We take a proactive stance on drug activity in our community,” said Effingham Sheriff Jimmy McDuffie. ‘We will prosecute these subjects to the fullest extent of the law and will not tolerate this activity in our county.”
