DOT to close 95/144 interchange

The state Department of Transportation has scheduled improvements for the I-95/Highway 144 interchange. The ramps will be closed from 7  p.m.-7 a.m. through Wednesday morning.

Ramps to be closed include:
I-95 Southbound Exit (90) to Highway 144/Ford Avenue.
I-95 Southbound On Ramp from Highway 144/ Ford Avenue
I-95 Northbound Exit (90) to Highway 144/Ford Avenue
I-95 Northbound On Ramp from Highway 144/Ford Avenue

Contractors for the Georgia Department of Transportation have scheduled concrete pavement rehabilitation for the I-95/Highway 144 interchange entrance and exit ramps. These ramps will be closed at various times for 7 p.m.-7 a.m., through Wednesday morning, July 21, weather permitting.
 
Signed detours will be in place using Highway 204/Abercorn Extension and Coastal Highway. As ramps are closed the signed detours will be put in place. Motorists should slow down and check signage in the area for these ramps closures.
 
This is a work zone and extreme caution is necessary. Motorists are advised to reduce speeds as they travel through this construction work zone.
Message signs, barrels and cones will be utilized to alert the public of the upcoming changes.
