SAVANNAH – America’s Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia will host a Drive-Thru Food Distribution for low-income families Thursday from 9 -11 a.m. while supplies last. This is first come, first served but income verification will be required by presenting an EBT or WIC card.

Mary Jane Crouch, executive director of America's Second Harvest said, “Summer is a tough time for our neighbors with school age children. Summer should be full of fun, games and camp but not for children who typically receive free or reduced-price breakfast and lunch at school. Parents struggle to juggle work and provide supervision and two additional meals while school is out. We are pleased to offer this Drive Thru Food Distribution and provide a little assistance to help alleviate this summertime dilemma.”

Volunteers are needed from 8-11 a.m. Thursday to help bag produce and distribute food.
