The Effingham County Sheriff’s Office is alerting residents that dirt road conditions in the county are deteriorating.

Although the dirt roads in Effingham County are still passable at this time, the conditions are beginning to deteriorate.

Sheriff Jimmy McDuffie requests the citizens limit the traffic as much as possible on the roads in an effort to keep them from becoming impassable. This is a preventative measure and the sheriff asks all non-essential traffic to avoid the dirt roads.
