RINCON  -- The candidate qualifying period for several Effingham County offices that will be up for grabs in 2020 is March 2-6.

The offices include the Districts, 2, 3 and 5 seats on the board of education, chief magistrate judge, clerk of Superior Court, coroner, commission chairman, commission Districts 1 and 4, probate judge, sheriff, tax commissioner and Ogeechee River Soil & Water District supervisor.
