SPRINGFIELD -- The Effingham County Sheriff’s Office is continuing its investigation into the discovery of the bodies of two juveniles Thursday afternoon at Rosebud Place in Guyton.
A fourth person has been arrested and charged in this case, 55 year-old Roy Anthony Prater. He is charged with concealing the death of another, cruelty to children in the first degree and possession of a scheduled or controlled substance.
Prater is the boyfriend of Kim Wright, the step-grandmother of missing children Mary Crocker and Elwyn Crocker Jr.
All four suspects, including Elwyn Crocker Sr. and Candace Crocker, have had their first court appearance and were denied bond.
Autopsies are currently underway and a cause of death has not yet been determined.
This is an ongoing investigation and more charges are forthcoming depending on the determination and manner of death.
