RINCON -- Just before 7 p.m. Friday, the Rincon Police Department was dispatched to Dairy Queen, 500 Block of Towne Park Drive , after receiving a call of a shooting.

One person was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.

Investigators are in the process of interviewing witnesses and say this is an active investigation.

A silver Hyundai, possibly an Elantra, was spotted leaving the scene and is believed to be involved. Investigators do not believe this was a random act of violence or that there is a threat to the general public.
