Contractors for the Georgia Department of Transportation will be collecting data with a moving lane closure utilizing an impact attenuator truck along with law enforcement following to enhance safety and alert the traveling public.

These moving right hand lane closures between I-16 and Georgia/South Carolina State line are scheduled next week from 9 p.m. until 1:30 a.m., Tuesday night through Thursday night. 

These temporary lane closures are necessary for the contractor to collect roadway data prior to a milling and resurfacing project on I-95 in Chatham and Effingham Counties.

Whenever you approach a work zone: slow down; allow extra distance between vehicles; read signs; and expect the unexpected.
