The Effingham County Chamber of Commerce will hold a Job Fair on June 28 between 9 a.m. and noon in the gymnasium at the Clarence Morgan Sports Complex, 1750 Ga. Hwy 21 S, Springfield.

 Admission is free. Job seekers can pre-register online at http://bit.ly/EffinghamJobs.

Employers interested in participating in the job fair can reserve a space online at http://www.effinghamcounty.com/form/view/23347, or by contacting the Effingham Chamber by June 24 at (912) 754-3301 or info@effinghamcountychamber.org. 

There is no charge for chamber member businesses to participate.

Rincon City Council voted unanimously Monday to approve its first pay raise in 14 years, increasing council members’ pay to $750 per month and the mayor’s pay to $950 per month starting next year. The raises will apply to those elected in November, when three council seats and the mayor’s office will be on the ballot.
