GUYTON -- Taking care of the ball helped the South Effingham Lady Mustangs take care of busines.
Just five days a 50-31 turnover-prone loss at Bluffton (S.C.), South Effingham turned the tables and defeated the Lady Bobcats 63-54 on Tuesday.
The Lady Mustangs overcame a double-digit deficit in the second half by putting together a blistering shooting performance in the fourth quarter. The hit 13 of 17 free throws during a 28-10 spurt that clinched the victory.
Jillian Pelote, Maleece Newbill, Mallori Jenkins and Cheyenne Boswell led South Effingham with 19, 14, 12 and 10 points, respectively.
