RINCON — McDonald’s is offering something special besides it sauces.
McDonald’s in Rincon is donating 20 percent of its proceeds received each Tuesday from 6-7:30 p.m. to Effingham County Middle School. This deal applies during weeks that school is in session.
To draw attention to the fundraiser, a group of artistically inclined ECMS students recently painted windows in the restaurant. Aubrey Heath, Akenyon Wallace, Juliana Palmer and Julianna Johnson, with supervision from Work-Based Learning teacher Courtney Smith and Carrie Chick, adorned the glass with their school’s logo and colors.
If the project is successful, it will be expanded to include Effingham County’s other middle schools.
