Special to the Herald

The Effingham County Board of Education regularly scheduled meeting for Wednesday, Aug. 7 at 2 p.m. has been rescheduled for Aug. 8 at 2 p.m. There have been no changes to the agenda, except the date. The agenda is available online at www.effinghamschools.com.

The rescheduling is due to the remnants of TS Debby which is still bringing rain to soaked land and flooded roads.

The millage rate public hearings also scheduled for Aug. 7 have been rescheduled for Aug. 8 at 11:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. The budget and proposed millage rate is also available on the district website.

The meetings will be held at the BOE central office, 405 Ash St., Springfield.

Also, due to TS Debby, the First Day of School has been pushed to Monday, Aug. 12.
