Troy Marsh Elected to Board of Governors of State Bar of Georgia
Atlanta – Troy W. Marsh Jr. of the Marsh Law Firm in Statesboro has been elected to serve on the Board of Governors of the 54,000-member State Bar of Georgia.
Marsh will serve in the Ogeechee Judicial Circuit, Post 2 seat on the board, representing Effingham, Bulloch, Jenkins, and Screven counties. He earned his law degree cum laude from Mercer University Walter F. George Law School and was admitted to the State Bar of Georgia in 1994. His law practice is focused in the areas of personal injury, criminal defense, auto and truck accidents, and wrongful death cases.
The Board of Governors is the 160-member policymaking authority of the State Bar, with representation from each of Georgia’s judicial circuits. The board holds regular meetings at least four times per year.
Yard sale to benefit Effingham County Democratic Committee
The Effingham County Democratic Committee is holding a yard sale on July 22 at Ulmer Park in Springfield. The sale will run from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
Tables and spaces are available for $20 per table, to benefit the ECDC. Vendors keep the proceeds of their items for sale, or may make additional donations to the ECDC, if desired.
The ECDC will be selling refreshments for $1 each.
