Rincon City Council did not have its regularly scheduled meeting on Monday night because it could not muster a quorum.

Three council members were absent: Lamar Crosby was on vacation, Paul Wendelken was out of town and Reese Browher fell ill.

Mayor Ken Lee said the council would reschedule the meeting for July 2.

The council learned of Browher’s condition near the start of the meeting and scrambled to call everyone to prevent them from having to make a blank trip.

Monday night’s meeting would have included the second reading of impact fee, court cost and charges and illegal water and sewer use ordinances. In addition, approval for the final construction plans for the new CVS store and The Springs development at Towne Park West was to be decided.

For the July 2 council meeting the agenda is expected to remain the same, though Lee noted new items might be added.
