The Region 2-AAAAAA volleyball tournament is set to start at multiple locations.

In the opening round Thursday, Statesboro will visit South Effingham at 5 p.m., Brunswick will visit Glynn Academy at 5 p.m. and Effingham County will host Bradwell Institute at 6:30 p.m. The season will end for the losers of those games.

The tournament will move to Richmond Hill, which earned a first-round bye, on Saturday. The Statesboro-South Effingham winner will take on the host team at 10 a.m.

On an adjacent court at 10 a.m., the winners of Thursday’s Glynn Academy-Brunswick and Effingham County-Bradwell Institute games will square off.

At 11:30 a.m., the winners of Saturday’s opening games will battle for the 2-AAAAAA’s top two spots in the state tournament. The losers of the first two contests will vie for the region’s third and fourth postseason spots.
