Georgia Environmental Facilities Authority’s Interim Executive Director Gregory R. Mason announced last Thursday that a loan of $2,904,759 has been executed with Rincon to expand and upgrade the current Sweigoffer Creek treatment facility.

The Environmental Facilities Authority was created to help communities prepare for economic growth and development through the provision of low interest loans.

“This program represents a tangible commitment on the part of state government to assist local government across the state in their efforts to provide water improvements that are so important to public health and safety and the community’s desire to prosper economically,” Mason said.

Mason expressed appreciation to Sen. Jack Hill and Reps. Jon Burns and Buddy Carter for their support.
