Two Florida men are in jail after using counterfeit credit cards to purchase items at the Rincon Walmart.

The Rincon Police Department arrested Yosvani Jimenez Toledo, 40, and Yohandys Santoyo Alverez, 35, both of Miami, Fla., on Oct. 19, according to Rincon Police Chief Phillip Scholl.

“The two have operated over the past few weeks in the Rincon Walmart, accumulating approximately $8,000-$9,000 in fraudulent charges, and are believed to be operating between Rincon and Miami using the fraudulent cards,” Scholl said.

Toledo and Alverez are both charged with financial transaction card fraud, forgery and being party to a crime.

More charges are pending, Scholl said.
