Some changes for Olde Effingham Days

For the sixth year, the Olde Effingham Days Festival is upon us. The event is set for April 15-16 in Springfield between the new and old courthouses and the Living History Site.

Leon Jacobs will be delivering the oldies, country and beach rock again on the evening of April 15 for dining and dancing under the stars from 7-10 p.m. and throughout the day Saturday.

April 16 kicks off with the opening ceremony and a tractor processional at 10 a.m. And folks can visit the Historic Effingham Museum and the Living History Site for a sense of how Effingham citizens lived generations ago. People will be able to see the traditional crafting of syrup making and old tools as well as the work of a blacksmith in addition to children’s activities.
