SAVANNAH—The Effingham Campus of Savannah Technical College will host an information session about manufacturing careers. Area employers will be in attendance as will STC admission and financial aid staff.

The sessions will be held Aug. 11 at 1 and 6 p.m. in Room 135 of the STC Effingham campus.

This is the second session of its kind, after 25 people attended the June 30 session.

“Employers know that graduates of Savannah Technical College’s Electrical Mechanical/Manufacturing Technician program come with a skill set that gives them an advantage in the workplace,” said Effingham Campus Dean for Student Affairs Bobby Solomon.

Students can complete the program in less than a year and be ready to work.

On Aug. 11, prospective students can learn about the curriculum and meet some of the area employers looking to hire graduates. The session will include admission and financial aid information as well as an opportunity to hear from representatives of companies like EFACEC and others.
