Tomberlin, Dasher qualify for school board seat

Eddie Tomberlin will run again for his District 1 seat on the Effingham County Board of Education, but he will face opposition in the November election.

Nina Dasher has qualified to run against Tomberlin for the post. Dasher, an Eden resident, is the president of the Arc of Effingham.
Mose Mock remains the only candidate to have qualified for the District 4 seat currently held by James Dasher.

State Court Judge Ronnie Thompson qualified to run for his post again.

Qualifying for the non-partisan races, which will be on the November ballot, ends today.
